August 23rd, 2025
We are having our reception on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025 at Camp Saturna!
Details to come later, July 2025.
For the sake of anyone's logistical planning, we would estimate an arrival time of 2pm for the reception. If you'd like to join us for the full day, we'll have games and camp activities. Check the Weekend Schedule page for details.
Feeling adventurous?
Join us August 22nd - 24th, 2025 for camping!
We have an old boy scout camp rented for the weekend for camping, boating, rock climbing, and fun in the great outdoors! Check-in time is as early as 2pm on Friday, and check-out is 10:30am on Sunday.
Options for camping depend on what feels comfortable for you. Tents, RVs and travel trailers are welcome, though there are no hookups. Generator use during regular hours, 8am to 10pm are permissible. There are a few cabins and bunk rooms available for those who don't want to rough it...as much. We have some extra equipment we can loan for the weekend, if you happen to feel unprepared with sleeping arrangements but would like an outdoor experience. We have more information on the Camping & Accommodations page.
Whether you're camping overnight or just coming for the day, we can't wait to celebrate! Let us know by filling out our RSVP.

Camp Saturna
Formerly, BSA Camp Black Mountain
We'll be camping at a beautiful repurposed campground on Lake Silver, called Camp Saturna. The camp is nestled in the foothills of Mt. Baker and is surrounded by lush forests and a pristine lake. It was one of many Boy Scout camps that Paul went to as a youth and still brings fond memories. We can't wait to share it with you!
The campground is located about 2.5 hours north of Seattle, WA. We recommend arriving on Friday, August 22nd, to get settled in and enjoy the weekend.
9514 Silver Lake Road
Maple Falls, WA 98266
You can find more information on Camp Saturna's website.

Schedule
Check back in July...ish for more details. But we have some high level information on the Weekend Schedule page.
FAQ
Did you say “camping”?
Sure did! Camping could mean a lot of things: RV'ing, Tents, Adirondacks, Hostel-like bunk beds, etc. We can accommodate all these options. When RSVP'ing, we just need to know which of these is your preference. If camping is not your style, there are a handful of house rentals from AirBnB and VRBO a short drive away. There's also plenty of parking for RVs, though no hook up options.
Are Dogs Allowed?
Absolutely! Annica can't pass by a dog without petting it, so why would our reception be any different? That said, we are limited on the number that we can have in camp.
Are Children Invited?
Yes, so long as they are better behaved than your dog. What would camp be without children? We will have camp activities for young and old. Whether you come for the day or can stay the weekend, there will be plenty of games, nature, and crafts to distract from the lack of cell phone reception.
Is there any cell phone reception?
Yes, but it's fairly limited. You can make calls and send/receive texts, but you aren't going to be able to stream. There is wifi at the main lodge, but that will also be fairly limited in bandwidth.
Where are you registered?
Let's be honest, we're both near our 40's. We don't need gifts. We need community, and that means you. Spending your time with us is enough of a gift and we are so thankful for it.
